We supplemented a side annex and for the first time had 2 bars (La Haout and La Bas, the high and the low, sponsored by Guernsey and Randall’s breweries)
Thursday evening was again quiet night but also this time round was no smoking as well. We had a good contingent of day trippers from Weymouth on the Saturday afternoon. The hotel catering also included a hog roast on site.

We again allowed someone else to do the catering.
Friday afternoon the BBC Guernsey/Jersey Afternoon show was presented live from the festival, by Marc Curtis.
We had a minor panic only a couple of weeks before the festival about entertainment. Sadly OG had stopped performing so we were giving local bands a chance and the guitarist of the Friday night band broke his arm, a mad scramble got two young bands but there were complaints about the music being too loud and out of keeping. Thankfully on Saturday Red Leader and the bandits discussed the situation with us beforehand and played brilliantly, to set levels and finished bang on time, just how it should be. We had the hall rocking!

La Feire Guernésiaise d'la vraie Bire et du Cidre
We had a Celtic theme with many of the beers coming from Wales, Brittany and Cornwall. We would love to have had Irish too but our suppliers could not get any.
Friday afternoon the BBC Guernsey/Jersey Afternoon show was again presented live from the festival, by Murray Norton this time.

The Millenium Pot luck Festival 2000

It was a great little festival but the public did not come to support it….to be fair, police were telling people not to go out and eventually hurricane force winds meant the marquee had to be pulled down in the early hours for safety reasons.
No entertainment, no logo, no pictures, no glasses.. no more festivals
